A name that should live in infamy...

By Owen Paine on Monday June 22, 2009 02:02 PM

Tom Daschle, of course. From The Note:

"While I feel very strongly that consumers should have the choice of a national, Medicare-like plan, my colleagues do not... But we were concerned that the ongoing health reform debate is beginning to show signs of fracture on the public plan issue, so in order to advance the process of developing bipartisan legislation and to move it forward, it's time to find consensus here."
Guy deserves a drive-by Uzi spray of harmless but malodorous dung bullets from a speeding Prius registered to Ralph Nader. This Mr-Rogers ghoul embodies all that is venal fey and worm-eyed in the Dembot oversoul.

The single worst pair of eyeglasses on Planet Earth. Ugly on even uglier's nose.

Meanwhile, both wings of the Business Party have never been this blatant about their complete disregard for what their constituents want. Shit, half of Republicans favor Medicare for All!

That this isn't bringing people into the streets is disgusting and shameful and proof of how effective market totalitarianism is.

I'd pay $50 bucks for a free kick on Daschle's nethers.

AlanSmithee:

The mo'betta dem squad is gonna have to work triple-golden-overtime on this one. But, really, that can't be Daschle up there. It looks much more like the head of the Tyrell Corporation in Bladerunner. "More Human Than Human."

"in order to advance the process of developing bipartisan legislation ..

Someday, when workers have taken over factories and housewives weilding pots and pans fill the streets, this kind of rhetoric will be seen for what it is, pure, cringing, laughable BS.

Michael Hureaux:

And these jerks have the nerve to wonder or display outrage over the numerous moments in history when they and their cohorts end up a theater of heads on sticks. Like Dickens said in his tale of two burgs, continue to twist humanity into these obscene shapes and the tumbrils will roll again and again.

Son of Uncle Sam:

He ripped those glasses off the face of either an eccentric T.V. nanny or Mrs. Clause
