By Owen Paine on Wednesday December 21, 2011 02:47 PM

"The Senate passed the two-month extension and President Barack Obama's administration indicated it would approve it.."
but
"....the Republican-dominated House, however, rejected the bill in a 229-193 vote on Tuesday."

------------------------------

now i know we got ourselves anotherholiday season Orthrian cliff hanger goin' here
and god bless the dirty two headed cur for that as uncle Al might say ....

considering we're having another blue blue christmas without much anyway
so if it must be rain why not let it pour ..??

.but pure coal for the job-less stockings this christmas ??....delivered to em precisely and exclusively by the house GOP ???

maybe that comes off too harsh even for tea types

ya ya ya i get the gimmick here
this inadvertent scrooge act ...this heartless stomp on the littlest of the little guys
simply polls well for Dembos ..so they aren't giving in to the quid pro quo ...
a millionaire relief extension..but where's the trap door under all this where's the 11th hour
sneak attack coming from
that silly pipe line gig ??

i hope the Orthrians have a better deeper more long lasting center aisle back stab instore for us humble citizens of the 99.9 then that squalid move

Smilesberger:

Unreadable.

MJS:

So go read something more readable elsewhere, Smiley. I never cease to be amazed at how people who apparently hate this 'umble blog keep reading it, and getting furious at it with the monotonous regularity of the monsoon season.

op:

undigestable but not unreadable

unless your ass hole is too tight for some heterodox text spacing

smirkberger btw is my favorite
constipated liberal
the type that joined
the kold war in 46 not 50

op:

bobby bear at his best ??

nope

his alarm bell line

the dixie-cats are prowling among us again...!!!!

"America has had a long history of white Southern radicals who will stop at nothing to get their way "

the tea baggers are the latest incarnation of the dixie cats
the peckerwood party

bobby drives that point home nicely
with his tour of tea-er CD hot spots
that is districts hot enough to elect
peckerwood US reps

these ragin' fumin' votin'dixie white pluralities
are mostly products of what was once called butternut culture

present profile:

" ....nearly six in ten who identified themselves with the Tea Party say global warming isn't a proven fact; most other Republicans say it is.

Six in ten Tea Partiers say evolution is wrong; other Republicans are split on the issue. Tea Party Republicans are twice as likely as other Republicans to say abortion should be illegal in all circumstances, and half as likely to support gay marriage.

Tea Partiers are more vehement advocates of states' rights than other Republicans. Six in ten Tea Partiers want to abolish the Department of Education; only one in five other Republicans do. And Tea Party Republicans worry more about the federal deficit than jobs, while other Republicans say reducing unemployment is more important than reducing the deficit."

conclusion:

" the radical right wing of today's GOP.."
is not
".. much different from the social conservatives who began asserting themselves in the Party during the 1990s, and, before them, the "Willie Horton" conservatives of the 1980s, and, before them, Richard Nixon's "silent majority."

right but hey sez bobby
trace it back thru that pat moynihan benign neglect nixon white house
way back when in 1969
was the first GOP incarnation
the one just after these butter nutters
crossed party lines

fuck baby
these are the grand sons and grand daughters
of the jack ass party's " solid white south "

the jim crow dembotry

these are the folks that put the still
in yer conservatives cry of "hold still"

these mostly involuntarily purged elements
of the post great society dembo machine

the steadfast
non voters for the neo lib new dem
clinton and gore poll-cats

to continue:

another gop faction is noticed
for contrast

"the libertarian legacies of Ohio Senator Robert A. Taft and Barry Goldwater, neither of whom was a barn-burner "

bull crap bobby
scratch a libertarian and you get ...peckerwoods again nerd peckerwoods maybe but butter nutters

why try to make this look better then it is ??

hell the clean gopers
went progressive at the turn of the last century

that is all just to say the gop up north
was already the peckerwood party ...up north
by the mid 30's
the peckerwoods and the local rotary
and the wall street upper east side
"creme de la creme "

lookin for a nice sane secular
moderately libertarian neo liberal alliance
to run the GOP ??
forget about it bobby
and no

it's not .. " dangerous for America."
and no
We don't " need two political parties
solidly grounded in the realities of governing."
not if " Our democracy can't work any other way"
ie as a choice between elite tweedles

it isn't working bobby

the dembot faction of the neoglibs
are what made you a prisoner of the cabinet
during the miracle first term round table

"the dixie menace" line
is pure dembot crowd herding

the latest nicely party reversed
waving of a bloody shirt

chomskyzinn:

Invoking the Rebel Yell does seem to spook the Dembots into line.

Relatedly, I've been hearing a lot of spooky talk about what a racist Ron Paul is, from the neocons at Kristol's rag and at TNR. The racist in this instance being the one OPPOSED to blowing up Muslims or locking them up for life.

I realize voting at all is contrary to the SMBIVAn notion, but were I to drag my ass to the voting booth, I'd do so to write in the good doctor. There's isn't a damn thing about imperialism and civil liberties that he says --- and says full throatedly --- that I don't agree with.

Al Schumann:

I don't see how Paul could be any worse than Obama/Romney. If he were to capture the office, and assuming he's determined to follow through on those stated principles, I doubt his term would get anywhere. There'd be one preppie riot after another in Congress and all sorts of bureaucratic passive aggression from the national security sector.

CZ, I'm not so much worried about the act of voting. It's almost always a gesture with negligible impact. By the time people go to the polls, the harm has already been done.

Chomskyzinn:

Indeed, Al. Wasn't Eisenhower's valedictory about the M-I Complex actually a confession of his own/the presidency's impotence?

Al Schumann:

I think that's a reasonable interpretation, CZ. Confession eases the burdens of conscience.

op:

"By the time people go to the polls, the harm has already been done"

lovely

there are so many understaffed operations that
"forward" the struggle wasting time on ballot boxing in most instances a waste

but say i go to the pols and vote for a state minimum wage indexed to the states median wage
or a state wealth tax surcharge
or to repeal a right to work law
or
well there are good enough reasons to vote local
and state issues
unmediated by the national orthrian cur

as to voting for ron paul
its a signal but you aren't defining that signal
your vote will be a vote for randism
not anti imperialism

op:

so the collective hapless paulines of the job class
have been rescued .....for the nonce

clearly the party of pointed ears took this trick

can we find entertainment if nt solice in that ??

the elected crew of the flappy eared party continues to run amok...apace
