New Democracy will receive 29.53% of the vote, equivalent to 128 seats.
because largest vote getter receives 50 bonus seats no matter the margin betweeen first and second place
Syriza will receive 27.12% – 72 seats
Pasok will receive 12.2% – 23 seats
Independent Greeks will receive 7.56% – 20 seats.
Golden Dawn will receive 6.95% – 18 seats.
Democratic Left will receive 6.23% – 17 seats.
Greek Communist Party will receive 4.47% – 12 seats
peacock plus new tyranny 151 seats ...a majority (300 total )
one seat to spare the magic of the vote count triumphs again
btw i thought you needed 5% to get seats
in which case if "projections" hold
my boys in the communist party are out
and that miight give the mordid center establishment pair 2 more seats

what next

One should never confuse election results with the Voice Of The People.

mjs
is correct of course
to find a new voic and only a new voice can be heard after all
old voices are mere sounds of the jungle
a new voice requires a process of collective self discovery unconfined by customary ways
and only at those rare moments
after an old regime has crumbled
is popular discovery possible ...possible
only then
on occasion
will actually new lasting institutions arise
and even so
only in a new
deeply self-conflicted ensemble
in another post
father S notices the word filter
that is the sort of mediation mass balloting is
the establishment ..if it bothers to let
you vote
will make you keep voting till the numbers come out more or less "right"
of course most of the time
the key vote is taken at the next level
or the next or the next
where revotes are socially less costly
its fair to say
in a system of governance
like bourgeois democracy
people don't vote
people revote
----------------------------------
and yet isn't it the case
there's much to learn
about the people
by watching their voting patterns
okay these numbers are news
they tell of a moment
they at least in part conceal as much as they reveal
about deeper regularities
a weather report is not enough to determine
a climate
and these numbers tell even less
let alone telling us
the orbital patterns of some
facticious entities
like class planets

"nearly 38% of eligible voters abstained from voting — a much higher percentage than any party received"

the votes cast in defiance of the troika
are still a majority
but a shrewd majority unwilling to place itself behind one party of no
or even one side of the nos
left nos and right nos
effectively cancel each other
and lots of those that voted one or other type of no
realized this
80% want to keep the euro
that is the real tacit vote
for the morbid center
with perhaps twenty percent really saying NO

into a revolution ?

op - distinguish between delegates/parties favoring - and against - bail-out.
just a quick look tells me majority is anti-bailout -- may be that 'New Democracy' will not be able to form a govt.
no way political and social stability.

anon yes a very clear majority of parties oppose the existing "agreement" with the troika

from above comment:

anon:
"may be 'New Democracy' will not be able to form a govt."
in fact that is a real ossibility
and yet another round of voting
parliementary systems
are all about "getting it right"
during a crisis like this one
where the people are headed for
a noggin of collective shit
parties are punished at the polls
for actually doing something to force feed em
the noggin of shit
its gotta be voluntary ie a popular decision
the parliament system of representative swindle
of the people is failing
unable to do the usual
ie
force thru an anti popular law
unfortunately parliament failure
doesn't dissolve the entire state apparatus eh ?
courts police and military
chug right along
under the authority of the sovereign
the greek parties at the core ie the establishment parties
want to sweat out a popular majority
that approves its own poisoning
shit= hemlock
its accomplished
by forcing the people to the polls
over and over again
until they endorse the agreement
or theres a coup
its lie a forced colletive confession
